• HelioFocus announced at the Eilat-Eilot 2011 convention that the Company had opened a local business branch in China. "Our prime objective", said Oren Gadot HelioFocus CEO "is to allow a faster and culture-related approach to enable our growing activity in the local Chinese market".

HelioFocus recently stepped into the Chinese market with the support of one of its key shareholders, the Sanhua Holding Group. HelioFocus is evaluating its role in China's five-year plan to reduce CO2 emissions by 40%-45% by 2020 compared to 2005. China's Premier Mr. Vows broadly discussed improving energy efficiency and carbon emissions at the annual National Party Congress which took place in Beijing in March 2011.
HelioFocus introduced the HelioBooster™, a dish technology driven application that boosts existing combined cycle power plants and reduces CO2 emissions of coal plants.  These plants account for 75% of the power production portfolio in China. "Ducting a solar field to a coal plant to produce steam at the same temperature range and pressure values will directly save coal burning and reduce CO2 emissions", says Gadot "We expect to have a demonstration project by 2012 and we are working around the clock to meet this tight schedule".

HelioFocus was founded in 2007.  The Company develops dish-based CSP technology to produce high temperature air for a variety of applications including steam production to boost existing power plants. The Company’s key shareholders are IC Green, a 100% owned subsidiary of Israel Corporation, the largest holding group in Israel, and Zhejiang Sanhua,a large holding group and a leader in refrigerating equipment in China and worldwide.
